Sif Jakobs Lab-Grown Diamonds
LABORATORY-GROWN DIAMONDS
Laboratory-grown diamonds are 100% real diamonds. They are chemically, physically, and optically identical to natural diamonds. The only difference is that laboratory-grown diamonds are created in controlled environments using advanced technology, while natural diamonds are formed in the earth over billions of years. They are just as sparkling and beautiful, created with a focus on ethics and the environment.
CRAFTED WITH PRECISION
The diamond collection is carefully crafted in 14k yellow or white gold and features a polished surface with hand-set round brilliant-cut or marquise-cut laboratory-grown diamonds. The diamonds have a color quality of TW G-H and a clarity grade of VS, ensuring a high shine that beautifully captures light and enhances your natural beauty.
TW or "Top Wesselton" refers to the color grading of nearly colorless diamonds in the G-H category, ensuring maximum brilliance. The G-H color category means that the diamonds are close to colorless and provide maximum light reflection. The clarity grade of VS indicates very few or no visible inclusions, making the diamond clear and sparkling. Each diamond is cut and polished to ensure optimal brilliance and light reflection.
SUSTAINABILITY MEETS ELEGANCE
Our selected laboratory-grown diamonds are developed using renewable energy, reducing their CO₂ footprint. This is luxury you can feel good about using—beauty and shine without compromise. Laboratory-grown diamonds have a significantly lower environmental impact, as they require less energy and water than mining. They are therefore often considered a more responsible choice with regard to the environment and ethics.
HELD TO THE HIGHEST STANDARDS: THE 4Cs
Like all other diamonds, lab-grown diamonds are evaluated based on the 4 Cs: cut, clarity, color, and carat. The 4 Cs are the crucial factors that determine a diamond's quality and value:
1. CARAT: Measures a diamond's weight.
2. COLOUR
Assesses the presence of color in a diamond. The scale ranges from D (colorless) to Z (light yellow or brown). All our diamonds are nearly colorless and rated at TW G-H color. Top Wesselton is a term used for color grading of nearly colorless diamonds, specifically for the G-H color scale.
3. CLARITY:
Sif Jakobs diamonds have VS quality. Clarity refers to the presence of internal inclusions or external blemishes in a diamond. Clarity is graded from flawless to included (visible flaws).
4. CUT: Refers to how well a diamond has been shaped and faceted. A good cut enhances the diamond's brilliance and sparkle.
